NNPC Mega Station Was Attacked by Armed robbers and the Sum of N16m Was Stolen

Suspected crime men on Monday attacked NNPC employees of a mega filling station in Hotoro, Kano state and stole N16m.
An eyewitness told the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano that the crime occurred at 8 a.m. when the staffs were carrying the money to one of the commercial banks close to the area.
The arm robbers were said to have attacked the vehicle carrying the money and stole one of the sacks which contain N16m.

According to the eyewitness, one of the two sacks contained N16m and the other, over N10m.
“All in all, there was over N26m in the two sacks when the incident happened.
‘’The suspected robbers took away one of the sacks containing N16m, ”he said.
It was gathered that the crime men stole the money and shot stray bullet continuously into the air to frightened people so that they can escape.
When contacted, the Kano Police Public Relations Officer, SP Magaji Majiya, confirmed the incident.
He, however, said the crime occurred around Kwanar Mashaya when the vehicle was carrying the money was trying to pass a bend and suddenly, two suspected armed robbers attacked the vehicle.
Majiya said in the process, the robbers stole one of the bags which contains N16m.
He said three suspected staff of the NNPC mega station have been detained in affiliation with the crime, saying that the money was for Friday, Saturday and Sunday sales.
“As I am talking to you now, cashier one, two and their supervisor have been arrested in connection with the robbery.
‘’Investigation into the matter has commenced. with a view to arresting the fleeing suspects,’’ he said.
