People Went Into Tears as a Female Corps Member That was killed by Train in Lagos is being Buried

A female corps member that was killed on Thursday last week after a train accident has now been buried in her hometown in Rivers State.
Nneka Odili died of serious injuries that she sustained in her brain and leg after being hit by the train along Ikeja in Lagos. The corps member was to have been unaware of the train that was coming while she crossing the rail line.

She was reported to be going back home after NYSC monthly clearance exercise at the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat before the incident happened.
According to witnesses that were present when the accident occurred, Nneka put an earpiece in her and she didn’t hear the loud cry of the people as they warned her about the coming train. She was  rushed to the hospital where doctors were reported to have swung into actions immediately.
She was reportedly operated upon by a Neurosurgeon at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, but later died from the complications of the injury sustained.

She was buried on Sunday, March 11, at her hometown, Ndoni in Rivers State.
Odili studied Home Economics at the Federal College of Education,Technical, Omoku, Rivers State and later went to study Human Kinetics at the University of Port Harcourt.

A lot of her friends have been paying tributes to her on social media. One of her friends wrote:
“Nneka Odili goes home this afternoon at Ndoni in Rivers State. May her soul rest in peace. The stories about her death were all false.  The NYSC Lagos office has released the correct story that leads to her death. She has no sophisticated phone in life and was not using a sophisticated phone as reported by some newspaper. Please let us always try to get our news correctly before going to the public.”
May her soul rest in peace.
