An adult squatting sees farther than a child on top of a tree. Why is it that children fall forward but adults fall backward? Have you observed that? Don't think too hard. The answer is simple. Adults know better than children. Adults know that if they fall backward the damage will be minimal as compared to falling forward. There is actually an African proverb that says, 'when a child falls he looks forward. But when an elder falls he looks backward'. A child may have exuberance but experience is better than exuberance. That's why most employers choose experience over exuberance. And that's why you would prefer an experienced doctor to an exuberant new doctor. As the saying goes: 'faith that has not been tested cannot be trusted'. Experience always has something vital to teach but it can only teach those who avail themselves. Be available!

Until lions tell their side of the story the tale of the hunt will always glorify the hunter. It is not that hunters kill lions in Africa. No, they don't! The background here is that often when hunters return from hunting, they would tell great stories to emphasize their achievements and hunting skills. Imagine a hunter brings home a dead lion and tells of how he had killed it through his great skill and bravery, earning him a lot of respect and praise. But that lion could well have died through some accident or sickness. The lesson conveyed by this proverb is that a story is never complete until we hear from all the sides. The one who does not have a voice or who does not have the means to publish their side of the story, is often treated as loser. Be impartial!

TRUTH is always BITTER

Love truth even if it hurts you. Hate lies even if they help you.
A bitter truth in the end provides a sweet experience. A sweet lie in the end provides a bitter experience. In the end the truth saves and a lies shames.
