The outcome of Saraki and Obasanjo’s closed door meeting, which held yesterday at Abeokuta

Senate President, Bukola Saraki  on Monday held a closed door meeting with former President Obasanjo at his pent house in Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun state.

Saraki came in a black jeep land cruiser around 5:30pm, and emerged from the meeting at 7:12pm.

According to Vanguard the meeting was scheduled for 4:pm but did not start until 5:30pm immediately after Saraki arrived the venue. Addressing newsmen after the meeting, Saraki said he was with Obasanjo to make up for the formal opening during the inauguration of the Presidential library held last year.

He said ”you know I missed the official opening of the library and that is why I have decided to come and see the place and honestly it is beautiful we are very proud of what he has done here”.

Attempt by newsmen to get Saraki’s comment on the crisis at the national assembly, proved abortive as he hurriedly entered his vehicle and zoomed off. Speculations is that meeting was not unconnected with the crisis rocking the national assembly over the plot to impeach him by All Progressives Congress Senators.
