Europa League semifinals summary

Thursday Teams: Chelsea Survived by Luck an Unexpected Onslaught from Frankfurt.

Two goal-bound strikes were aborted by David Luiz and Zappacosta, two veteran abortionists. Those were the highlights of the night as they were very instrumental to the winning of that semi-final for Chelsea.

Loftus Cheek was embedded in the midfield thus reducing his usual bully of the opponent Defence. Kante unavailability was felt and Jorginho did some stunts anyway. Hazard was unnecessarily dribble-full but he set up LoftusCheek wondrous, bend-it-like-Henry curl: it was a beautiful cheeky goal.

At the resumption of the second half, Jovic the trusted talisman that Real Madrid is chasing converted coolly past Kepa. Jovic is so trusted that when he faces any goalie his teammates jubilate before he hits the ball. A witty sharpshooter. 1-1 the game ended with Chelsea totally outplayed.

But the penalty shoots out had a different outcome as ever confident Kepa stopped two shootout to lung Chelsea into the final against Arsenal.

Sarri was almost choked, hyperventilating like a lit cigarette that was exposed to a Frankfurt breeze. But in the end Kepa gat him.
