Man United vs Bayern Munich 1999 Treble Reunion Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester Date: Sunday, May 26, 2019 Kick-off: 3pm BST, today

Manchester United fans are in for a real treat today as the Legends of their 1999 Treble-winning season return for a reunion match against Bayern Munich.

A host of former United stars will head back to Old Trafford, which is 20 years to the day since the Red Devils' dramatic Champions League triumph over Bayern in Barcelona.

Mario Basler's sixth-minute free-kick looked set to end United's hopes of adding the Champions League trophy to their domestic double of the Premier League and FA Cup.

However, United super-subs Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer struck a quickfire brace in injury time to complete one of the most sensational comebacks in European Cup history.

The likes of David Beckham, Peter Schmeichel, Gary Neville, Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke will all play in today's friendly, with Solskjaer and Teddy Sheringham also included.

Solskjaer's presence will have a slightly surreal edge, given that the Norwegian will be coached at the Theatre of Dreams despite currently holding the title of the club's permanent manager.

While few managers would make way for another in their own dugout, Solskjaer has no problem with United's choice as Sir Alex Fergusonwill be back in the dugout - a return which is sure to cause a few tears among the United faithful given the legendary coach's recovery from serious health problems last year.
