Unmi Fatima Bolori, the Ex-wife of Mohammad Aminu Atiku, who is the
son of Ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has disclosed how her former
husband ran away with one of their children in spite the court ruling.
Yesterday, Chief Magistrate K.B Ayeye sitting in the Tinubu area of Lagos granted Fatima full custody of their children, Amirah, 8, and Aminu Atiku, 6, after years of legal tussle.
Unmi Fatima and Aminu Atiku got married in 2007 but divorced after their union was dissolved by a Sharia Court in Maiduguri in 2011.
A true source reported that Umni revealed that her former husband took hold of their son from her after the court ruling and threatened not to bring him back.
‘After the court ruling, my two children were saying goodbye to their dad, before I knew it he and his lawyers forced my son into his car.
‘When I confronted his lawyers, they said he only wanted to spend a night with our son and will bring him the next morning.
‘When I eventually put a call through to him, to ask him when I should come to get my son since I was about to buy our tickets, he asked me if I didn’t hear from my lawyers, that I should call my lawyers because he’s not bringing back my son.’
In October 2017, Aminu was remanded in the transit cell for disobeying a court order.
Magistrate Ayeye found Atiku’s son guilty for contempt of the court order made on October 11 and ordered that he should be remanded at the transit cell after he failed to produce his son in court.
