Roman Catholic Bishop – “How The Nigerian Government Made Boko Haram Richer”

The Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Kukah, has said that the Nigerian government has made members of the Boko Haram insurgents more richer through ransom.
Matthew Kukah made it clear that there was an urgent need for the federal government to accommodate the complaints of the aggrieved persons and also end the activities of the insurgents, especially in the North-East.

In a chat he had during a Channels TV programme, ‘Hard Copy’ on Sunday, the Bishop lamented seriously that the federal government had reduced the fight against terrorism to only military operations and also failed to attack the root cause of the problem. He said,
“Why do we assume that security is just about guns and bullets? When Boko Haram started, I published an article titled ‘Breath not Bullets.’ I made a point that we would probably spill into a time when we would not be able to contain ourselves when those conflicts become a military operation.
The first problem is that it is becoming capital intensive. The second problem is the human angle to the conflict. What is it that has made a decent human being to take up arm against his country?
The problem we have is that the government has turned the Boko Haram war into military operations and turning the concept of security into guns and bullets. The question is that what is it that has been producing this discontentment? Why has the northern Nigerian become the centre of fire? We have failed to ask the right questions
I have said it several times, we could close the window on Boko Haram today, but what is going to happen next we don’t know. The point I am making is that a country has to have high quality of listening devices about the voices of the weakest; about how people are hurt and what people are interested in.”
He further revealed that the Dapchi schoolgirls’ kidnapping tantamounts the claim that Boko Haram had been conquered, and asked that a detailed dialogue is established with the terrorists. Kukah said:
“Those with superior information and superior knowledge, which is what the government is all about, know something that the rest of those don’t. There is no war that has ended whereby everybody is declaring victory and going home. It has never happened; everybody has ended up around the table.
When it comes to closing a conversation of that nature, you have to have a screening system. There are people who will tell you people found themselves in Boko Haram by all kinds of means; some voluntarily went there while some were compelled to go there. There are criminals who got into the game and there are some of them who have done terrible and horrible things. Their numbers, leaders and so on, have to be taken together.
There is no way we can end the conflict without carrot; it is not possible.
We say they are no longer holding our territory, but if they can come and take away this number of children, now the Boko Haram is richer than it was. Who knows what they are going to do with the money they have collected.”

A Beauty Queen Reveals Donald Trump Has Made an Attempt to have se.x with Her

The President of The United States of America Donald Trump, who is in a se.xual scandal with American po.rn star, Stormy Daniels.
In another story, an ex-Miss Universe Alicia Machado has come out publicly to make her claim that Donal Trump who is regarded as the most powerful man in the world had tried to have se.x with her.
The Venezuelan former beauty queen said she knew Donald Trump very well but had resisted his se.xual advances.
She told Suelta La Sopa, a show that is being run on American Spanish-language TV network Telemundo, she became Trump’s “guinea pig” after he purchased the Miss Universe Organisation the year she emerged the winner in 1996 after she missed Miss Venezuela a year earlier.

She claimed he had “disrespected” an existing contract she had signed with the owners of the beauty pageant several times.
When she was asked by her interviewer if she knew Trump very well after she claimed to know Donald very well, she said: “No, I know him as a person. I think that’s worse.
“Often you can sleep with someone you don’t know. It wasn’t the case with me. I never had se.x with him.”
Questioned on whether Donald Trump had attempted to get her into bed, she replied: “There were many situations with him I have never spoken about.”
The reporter then repeated: “He tried it on” in what appeared to be half statement half question, with Alicia replying: “Well, yes, why would I say ‘no’ to you.”
American President Donald Trump got into a conflict of words with Alicia last year during the US presidential campaign after she came out boldly to support Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton.
The 41-year-old, now a US citizen, claimed Donald Trump had once tagged her ‘Miss Piggy’ after she added weight as Miss Universe and ‘Miss Housekeeping’ because she was born in Venezuela.
She labeled him a racist and said she had developed eating disorders because a ‘powerful man’ had told her she was fat.
Donald Trump responded by calling Machado the worst Miss Universe ever and claiming she had an attitude problem.

A Man Voices Out – Alizee Would Leave Her Marriage if She Had This Kind of Support

Nigerian singer, Alizee was murdered by her Danish husband, Peter Nielsen, in their apartment in Banana Island, Lagos on Thursday last week.
Since the news of her death broke out, the late Alizee has been gaining support from every corner and it seems she is getting more fame in her after-life than when she was still alive.
One of the people that assumed the singer would have been alive today if she had been encouraged when she was having conflict in her marital life was entertainment consultant Kaycee Ichie Oguejiofor who once worked with Alizee.

According to him, the whole bunch of people giving their support now are just hypocrites who only want their opinions to be heard and not like they really cared about her.
He wrote this,
I worked with her and the team at some point, a lot of people screaming, shouting and posting tributes, never believed or supported her career in anyway, all of the blogs posting her news for free, didn’t do so in her lifetime.
Now she is late everyone all of a sudden is screaming for justice and all, not that it is wrong, but if she had this level of support from everyone, maybe just maybe she would have had the courage to escape an abusive marriage.
She is dead and gone all of your support is plain hypocrisy, of what use is it to her and the dead child. Off cos the man will go to jail and life will go on. I have said it before when I die family only, cremate me and move on with your life, no need for long epistle(s), when I was hungry non gave me food, when I was homeless there was no shelter from all the hypocrites, live your life, please non but you and your God.
RIP Alizee Zainab

5 homose.xuals who engaged in a fight with each other after contracting the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) have been detained after they caused a scene in Egbe, Ikotun area of Lagos State.
According to PUNCH Metro, one of the men, whose name is  Ezeugo, had infected his first lover with the virus.
Ezeugo had brought in another boyfriend to his apartment and was about making love to the new guy when his first boyfriend created an awareness by raising an alarm around 3 am on Tuesday.
Punch’s correspondent learnt that the residents in the area invited policemen from the Ikotun division and the suspects were detained.
A police source, Ezeugo, who is a prime suspect, confessed to having been engaged in homose.xual for about five years.
He said,
“We got a distress call from residents around 3am that there was a fight among five homose.xuals living together in a room apartment.
“On getting there, we were told that late that night, the neighbours heard a noise and thought a thief had broken into the house. But they later discovered that the noise came from the room where the men stayed and that they were fighting.
“The tenant who accommodated the others, Ezeugo, had gone out to bring a new gay partner and was about to sleep with him when his first lover protested that he could not be sleeping with him and his tribesman from Calabar, Cross River State.
“Ezeugo denied that he wanted to sleep with the new person.
“While we were interviewing them, the first lover said his major grouse was that Ezeugo was sleeping with him and wanted to sleep with his tribesman as well.”
But SP Chike Oti, the state Police Public Relations Officer, said the suspects fought after they got to know that they had been infected with HIV.
Oti identified the men, who their ages range between 20 to 31, as Ezeugo, Akachukwu, Abuchi, Dara and Marvellous.

One of them confessed to be HIV/AIDS positive and said it was his boyfriend that infected him. The boyfriend was sleeping with the other men as well and that was the cause of their fight.”

University Of Ibadan Has Increased hostel Accommodation fee from N14,000 to N30,000

The University of Ibadan has increased the hostel accommodation fee from N14,000 that it was to N30,000 for the main campus, and N40,000 for students that are in College of Medicine. This will be taking effect from the 2017/2018 session.
Prof Idowu Olayinka, The Vice-Chancellor, has explained that the increase in the accommodation fee was because the institution was spending about N100 million currently every year over what has been collected in running the hostels. This came as the University of Ibadan sent out the students of the College of Medicine yesterday from their halls of residence because they protested against the geometrical increase in professional training and hostel accommodation fees.
Prof. Idowu Olayinka said that while the students were paying N14,000 per bed-space at the moment, the partial economic rate per bed-space as at 2012 survey was conducted by the institution and was put at N59,650 per session.

Arranging a meeting for tomorrow to meet with the students’ parents, guardians and students to address the new development, the UI Senate disclosed yesterday that they have also approved the increased in chargeable fees for laboratory and studio (Arts (N5,000) maintenance fees; fees for professional health training (non-clinical (N75,000) and clinical N100,000); Pharmacy practice experience levy (N5,000), and Science laboratory levy (N7,500).
Faculties of Agriculture (N5,000 to N7,500), and Renewable Natural Resources upward review of the Practical Year levy (N15,000 to N17,500) for those in practical year while other students are to pay the old levy; items upward review of access fee for undergraduates (from N2,000 to N2,500) for improve internet access on campus.
In amending the fees, the School VC has enjoined the public to take note that it is only the increase in accommodation fees that is going to cut across students who wish to stay in the halls of residence. He said:
“Residency in the halls of residence is optional, and only about 30 per cent of our students can find accommodation in the halls of residence.
It is also important to note that the Federal Government, many years back, had stopped providing funds for the running of the halls. As a result, the university spends about N100 million over what is collected as accommodation fees, for the running of the halls.”
Meanwhile, before they had decided to not agree with the increment which ranging from N75,000 to N100,000 for each student and accommodation fee raised to N40,000, the medical students were all forced out of their Alexander Brown Hall, UCH.
The Registrar, Olujinmi Olukoya, revealed this in a statement that the Academic Board of the College of Medicine had considered the possible security threat displayed by the students during their agitation against the new fees that have been increased would pose and recommend the hostel’s closure.

Ex-Governor Adams Oshiomhole – Why Buhari Should be Ruthless Against Looters

Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, the ex-governor of Edo State while speaking in Benin city has summoned President Muhammadu Buhari to adopt a “ruthless” standard against looters of the country’s treasury. The ex-governor also stated that it was Nigerians’ right to know the level of corruption that has been carried out by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led Federal Government.
Mr. Adams Oshiomhole said;
“I think that if other Nigerians don’t understand the power of transparency, the right to know, the media should uphold that right and defend it.
“What was stolen was not from private purse; the house that was destroyed was not a private residence.
“We are talking of resources, which if it is distributed on basis of equality, divide by 180 million people you will be a lot richer.
“I think my only complaint is that the Federal Government should be more ruthless because there are a lot of people who should be in court who are not there.
“When I was still in the office and I said the kind of money they stole was huge in dollars they paid hired writers to ask how I knew.
“I have interacted with power vertically and horizontally. I know that we cannot be lamenting today without understanding that the treasury was burgled yesterday.
“I think the promise of democracy is that good or bad, the people have the right to know and that is the starting point and particularly important.
“I think the people have the right to know and if any of them think that what was being said is not true, they can go to court.
“All of them who are involved and those who they are looking for, they should put everything in public domain and that is the promise of democracy and it is about you.
“Just by virtue of being in a winning party, they helped themselves so much.
“One of the acting chairmen of PDP, Ahmed Makarfi, I used to respect him so much, I heard him saying that the reason they did not indict Diezani was that the money missing and everything that was done, Goodluck approved.
“If President approved the money, should it be stolen and not go into the federation account or used for the intended purpose.
“Jonathan may have immunity against prosecution but he doesn’t have the power to appropriate what the national assembly have not done.
“Right now, they are now saying the national assembly should not approve the $1 billion the Federal Government is going to spend on security.
‘’This is a party that spent well above that without going to the national assembly at all.”

Some few weeks ago, It was reported in the news that the then-famous Nigerian artiste, 2shotz was seen working as a photographer in the United States of America, where he is residing at the moment.
This came as a surprise to many when they discover that one of the artistes that was well-known in the country with so many hit songs has forsaken his calling for another profession.
The rapper has however revealed the reason why he left music and according to 2shotz, he is not doing badly in his newly-found career.

He was contacted by Sunday Scoop and some questions were being thrown to him why he left Nigeria, the rapper spoke with so much bitterness.
He said:
“My contributions to the Nigerian music industry were never publicly acknowledged; so, what is the point of talking about music in Nigeria. Real people don’t go far in Nigeria. I really don’t care about what is going on in that industry anymore. The problem is the individuals.”
Reacting to reports that revealed he has dumped music for photography, he said,
“I am now a photographer and filmmaker. This is as much as you can get. I am not interested in attaining stardom again and I don’t care about it.”

The last time 2shotz was in the news was when he was alleged to have battered his ex-girlfriend, ex-Big Brother Africa contestant, Beverly Osu. Their union was reported to have been labeled by series of beating and assault as alleged by the Beverly. However, the rapper has denied ever laying his hands on her, claiming she was trying to spoil his reputation.
In his words:
“I wonder why some people find it hard to move on after a broken relationship. There are so many things to do with your life rather than trying to bring other people down”

Pastor, Dr. Daniel Olukoya – Satanic Witchcrafts are Behind Massive Death in Nigeria

The General Superintendent of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Daniel Olukoya, has disclosed satanic witchcraft is behind many attacks and bloodshed that Nigerians encounters in several parts of the country.
The Pastor said this while he was preaching at the church’s monthly “Power Must Change Hands” meeting that was held at the Prayer City, Ogun state, on Saturday
“Anywhere you see any bloodshed or massive death of people it is not terrorism but the work of satanic witchcraft. An evil force is the one behind all those bloodshed. Do you expect a sane human being to just slaughter another human being who is still alive when he will even think twice when killing a hen or cow?
Nigerians need to wake up from their slumber as there is a massive resurgence of witchcraft all over the world. Nigeria is in the era of the great wrath where so many mysterious things have occurred; I mean unexplainable se.xual perversion, unavoidable terrorism, emergence of kidnappers who are hungry for blood and terrible accidents. I urge all Nigerians to watch and pray and be vigilant as we are in the end time. So many things are happening” he said
This was after Femi Adeshina, the Special Adviser to the President of Media and Publicity, said this in Abuja that the country needs the interference of notable men of God to pass through the turbulence that Nigeria is going through at the moment.
He said this when pastors of the Gospel Faith Mission International led by the Deputy General Overseer of the Mission, Pastor Emmanuel Oluwayemi paid him a courtesy call in his office.
“As we approach the election year, please continue to pray that all will be well with our country. People are getting desperate to ensure that their desires, often ill-motivated, are actualised. But by the prayers of spiritual fathers like you, it will be well with the country,” Adesina said

Nigerian Gospel Singer Tope Alabi – ‘My Mother Checked if my Virginity was intact till I Married’

Tope Alabi, is one of the notable singers in the gospel music genre that inspires their listeners with their Spirit-filled songs.
She revealed in a new interview she had with the Punch that she remained a virgin until her marriage and her mother always made sure she checked her regularly to confirm her virginity.
Tope Alabi in the interview she had with punch spoke about her childhood, career, marriage, motherhood and other issues.

Tope Alabi was asked about her new Album launch, Yes and Amen and what it was all about:
The album is full of wholesome praise to God; there are no side attractions. God told me about three years ago that I should make an album that would contain only praise and worship. There are 11 tracks in all. I worked on the album for about two years. God usually gives me the titles for my albums, and also the time to release them.
On if she got any encouragement from her mum when she started music:
“Yes, she did because she was also a singer. She always sang around the house. She believed that one didn’t have to be immoral simply because she is a singer. Every other member of my family was not pleased with my music career but my mother never took offence. She taught me that a female shouldn’t be too close to men.
For example, I was never bathed at the same time with my male siblings. My mother used to check if my virginity was intact every three months interval before I got married; especially whenever I returned from movie locations.
When I newly got married to my husband, we went to the National Theatre in Lagos to watch a movie and actors like Yinka Quadri, Ebun Oloyede, among others were there. When they saw my husband, they congratulated him and told him that he had chosen a good and exemplary wife. That made my husband quite happy. My mum was very strict and she never spared the rod. She also showed me a lot of motherly love.”
She was known in her early days in her music career as the main soundtrack artiste for most Nollywood movies in the Yoruba genre. She spoke on how it all started:
I started my entertainment career as an actress and back then, they didn’t do personalised soundtracks for movies. One day, one of my colleagues, Adio Majesta, said I should be able to compose songs for movies. He told me the title of the movie and that was how I started making soundtracks for movies. He believed I could do it because I always sang whenever we were on location and sometimes, I used the incident happening at that particular time to compose songs.
She was later asked if any of her children is following in her footsteps:
Yes. My first daughter, Ayomikun, is currently studying music at the university. She often tells me a lot of things about the rudiments and intricacies of music. I actually wanted her to study medicine but she chose music. She writes good lyrics and I respect her for that.

#Offa Bank Robbery: Vigilante Group – We Counted 50 Dead Bodies

Wasiu Adepoju, who is the Operations Commander, Vigilance Group of Nigeria, Offa, Kwara State chapter, on Saturday, has said that vigilantes in the state have counted about 50 dead bodies after the Offa Bank robbery on Thursday in the state.
This was against the 17 people that were accounted for by Mr. Lawan Ado the state Commissioner of police. According to the police reports, the victims comprises nine police officers and eight civilians.
On Thursday armed robbers had robbed six banks. The banks included Ecobank, Union Bank, First Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Zenith Bank and Ibolo Micro Finance Bank.

Adepoju in an interview he had with The Punch said the robbers took the local security personnel unawares. He said that there was little they could do when they learnt of the robbery because of the sophisticated weapons the robbers were carrying.
He said:
“After the robbery, we counted about 50 dead policemen and civilians. They shattered the bodies with bullets. They targeted mainly the heads of their victims.”
He stated that the robbers entered the area and started shooting profusely with their heavy guns, adding that they ran to inform the police as they did not have any ammunition that they can use to defend themselves or confront the robbers.
Adepoju said that before they could get to the police station, the robbers had killed some victims already, including policemen.
He also made an appeal to the federal and state governments so that they can provide them with weapons to motivate them.
Adepoju said,
“This is new to us. Bandits came to Offa some years ago. After that, all security operatives, including vigilantes, started to monitor the town from morning till night. They came twice at a time but it was not possible for them to operate.
The vigilance group boss said it would be hard for the robbers to operate and go unchallenged assuming the vigilantes were armed.
He further made an appeal to wealthy indigenes of Offa to assist them, saying they were only rendering voluntary work to the community.

Ayo Van Elmar – Salma owes me N168K & doing N100K giveaway

On-Air-Personality Salma Nabila Phillips, has been summoned by Fashion designer, Ayo Elizabeth Olaogun of Ayo Van Elmar label, on her Instagram page that Salma owes her N168,000 while she was doing an N100,000 give away to her fans and followers.
According to Ayo Van Elmar, Salma has contacted her in August last year to design two dresses for her within 2 days which she did.

However, Salma failed to show up in order to wear the dress for fittings. Ayo took the dress to Salma’s home believing she would pay the money later.

Salma eventually wore the dress to an event and even took photos with the dress, which she posted on her Instagram page and at the same time giving credit to the designer, Ayo for the ‘beautiful’ dress. But surprisingly, she made a u-turn and said she will not pay Ayo for the dress because it did not fit her well.

“First of all, I’m not sure @deolasagoecharges that little to make an outfit in less than 40 hours. I studied fashion design as a profession, thorough German degree. And I am the best and what I do! I have a right to my prices. You could have found a cheaper alternative if you thought my services were to expensive for you.
#2. Regarding the fit, I don’t understand what you mean cuz she’s wearing it on this picture and thanking me and she showed up and partied in the pieces.
#3. We’d scheduled a fitting, she didn’t show up, I waited till past midnight. Fittings are quintessential, you’ve got to understand that.
#4. I eventually sent my staff with a mobile sewing machine to Salma, to fit in her home and make all necessary alterations. Salma didn’t attend to them, she never came out to complain to me. But she partied in the pieces? I don’t get you.
#5. I stayed up through the night with three staff members to cut off the flowers from the fabric and stitch them on one by one, by hand, to achieve the 3D look on the neckline and the shoulders, and you don’t wanna pay? Your stylist @jowysfashionconsulting and I have asked you severally over eight months, with pleas to pay up. In fact, I’ve told you to pay whatever you wanna pay! Just pay! Next post is a picture of the invoice! Your friend isn’t telling the truth about what I’d charged.”

Alizee’s father – ‘My daughter’s Danish Husband Started Assaulting her Last Year’

The family members of the late singer, Zainab Ali-Nielsen, who is fondly called Alizee, are still in short of words over the singer’s death.
The 37-year-old Artiste and her four-year-old daughter, Petra, were both found dead on Thursday inside the kitchen at their residence in Banana Island, Lagos. Some reports have it that Alizee’s Danish husband, Peter Nielsen Schau, might have been the one that must have murdered them.
A reliable source gathered that Alizee’s father, Ali Madaki, gave some information about the couple.
He said,
“I have known my late daughter’s husband for over seven years now. At the outset, he was of good character but last year, he started fighting his wife. Last November, a case was reported at the police station when he beat her to a coma. He then wrote an undertaking that he would never batter her again.”
Remembering how he was informed about the incident that occurred, Madaki said,
“On Thursday morning, he called me; I was in Abuja. Since I missed his calls, I called back and he told me he saw my daughter and granddaughter on the floor in the kitchen. I asked what went wrong; he didn’t say a word and dropped the call. One of my two daughters staying with them called their mother and broke the news. We took the next flight to Lagos and found out she was dead truly. I didn’t even know my grandchild was dead too. I told my daughter to get Petra for me and we should go, then she told me she was dead too. I was shocked. The husband claimed it was gas suffocation that killed them. We know that gas doesn’t kill people that way. In the pictures, you would see bruises all over their bodies. They were strangled to death. I strongly believe he did it because their compound is highly secured. Whenever I visited them, the security operatives had to confirm my visit with them before I would be allowed in.”
Alizee’s father said, that he doesn’t know if the Danish man was addicted to drugs or alcohol,
“I don’t know if he has a history of being an alcoholic or drug addict. She once came back to our house in Abuja after being battered by her husband. She was there for almost a month. The man came and started begging that he was drunk. He said he consumed too much alcohol on the fateful day he beat her. Since they had been together for a while and he had never misbehaved, I accepted his plea and allowed Alizee to return to Lagos.
My two daughters are in the police station right now to give their statements because they witnessed all that happened. They said he hit her head on the wall. In the morning, he then asked them where his wife was. They pretended they didn’t know what happened. They knew that if they had made any attempts, they could be attacked too. There were five people in the house when the incident occurred – my late daughter, her child, husband and my two daughters – one 12-year-old and the other 10-year-old. I have four girls; Alizee is my first child and her immediate younger sister works in a bank.”
The mourning father said that he wanted justice to prevail for his late daughter. He added,
“He cannot do this in our country and get away with it even though he could get away with it if he had done it in his country. We want our government to pass a strong message to other foreigners with this. If this happens in their country, they would surely execute the Nigerian. Our government must give justice too as they do in other countries.”
Gift Madaki, Alizee’s younger sister, who allegedly witnessed the incident, said that when she heard Alizee crying for help, she went out to peep what the case might be.
“I was at home when the incident occurred. When she was crying for help, I went to see what was going on and I saw the husband hitting her head on the wall. I couldn’t come out because I knew he would descend on me too. The man is aggressive,” she said.

Police Have Reacted to Offa Robbery – We Have Lost Nine Officers to Bank Robbery in Offa Kwara

A day after a gang of robbers have attacked five banks and a police station, killing many people in Offa town, Kwara State, has remained in astonished. Yesterday, the Kwara State Police Command has confirmed that nine of their men were killed by the robbers.
In an update on the robbery attack, Mr. Ajayi Okansanmi, the spokesman for the command, has told reporters that seven other people have lost their lives during the robbery operation. There were unofficial accounts which stated that people that might have lost their lives might have risen to twenty-three, including two policemen that were shot by the robbers in Okuku, Osun State while returning from the robbery operation. In addition, the robbers have abandoned three vehicles.
Since the robbery incident, fury residents have summoned a quick review of the security structure for banks that are located in Kwara State.
Reacting to the gory event on his Facebook wall, Senate President Bukola Saraki called it a despicable act perpetrated by wicked individuals. He said that he and Governor Fatah Ahmed have come together that the bandits would be found and prosecuted by the law by all means.
An eyewitness who said he hid inside one of the banks during the robbery operation, was still in shock when he narrated his story yesterday. Pleading anonymity, he said:
“My brother, it is not something to recall or witness. I don’t even pray it for my enemies.
I saw death staring at me and others. I still can’t talk much about it.”
The Olofa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi, who is The paramount ruler of the town, was in short of words when they contacted him yesterday. He said that the severe killings that came with the robbery were too big. Offa community leaders spent a greater part of yesterday discussing the robbery incident that occurred and they decided to hold a larger meeting of Offa sons and daughters on Sunday, April 29.
Senate President Saraki said:
“Make no mistake, there will never be any valid grounds or rationale behind such violence that has left many families without their loved ones – and one more community in grief and shock.
Last night, I spoke to Governor Ahmed to express my condolence on the lives that were lost in the attack, and we both agree that no stone will be left unturned until the perpetrators of this heinous act are caught and brought to justice.
It is also important that we all work together to ensure that this does not reoccur. We all must co-operate at various levels to increase the security of our communities.
I pray that the souls of those that we lost yesterday are granted places amongst the righteous ones.
My prayers and support will continue to be extended to all the affected families, and we will remain relentless until everyone who planned or carried out this attack faces the full wrath of the law.”
Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, The Emir of Ilorin, has condemned the robbery, calling it barbaric, ungodly and disheartening. He has enjoined clerics across Kwara state to use yesterday’s Jumat service for special prayers for the nation, especially Kwara State.
While he was assessing the situation yesterday, a security expert, Mr. Banjo Famuyiwa, said that the low presence of police personnel in the town, even with its large population and number of banks, is quite alarming.
The Chief Executive Officer of PlaySafe Lifecare Foundation said:
“The number of policemen available to the community is low, given the population and number of banks.
The police post is also very close to the road. There are no strong barriers. Once you branch off the road, the next thing is the station.
In some countries, you allow banks to use their personal security, and I think we should do the same here instead of wasting the lives of our policemen again and again.
There should be no law forbidding banks from having their own security.”
An Ilorin-based group, ‘Kwara Rebirth Ambassadors’ demanded a review of the security structure of the state. It said:
“This latest bloody bank robbery in Offa town has left in its trail several salient questions begging for answers, and it won’t be out of place to demand for a complete overhaul of the security architecture of the state, as the armed bandits have severally proven the porosity and poor policing of our inter-state borders among other noticeable shortcomings.
A visit to Osun, Ondo, Lagos, Ekiti and other sister states will see the strategic positioning of Armoured Personnel Career (APC) in and around the state.
That is a clear show of readiness to combat security challenges as it arises.
Armed bandits, violent cultist, touts and thugs have combined to hold the state to ransom in the last 10 days in Ilorin and Offa.”

Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa – PDP Paying For its Sins

Former Sokoto State governor, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, has advised members of the Peoples Democratic party to intensify prayers to seek forgiveness from God.
“It is the sins that the PDP members committed that God is punishing them for.
“Almighty Allah does not make mistakes and that was the reason why when the PDP offended him, He snatched the power and handed it to APC,’’ he said at the PDP Northwest zonal rally on Saturday in Katsina.

Also, Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo, charged Nigerians to shun all forms of corrupt practices and rise up and challenge corruption in the country.
“Corruption is an evil deed that retards the progress of any nation,’’ he said.
On his part, former Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Shema backed calls for the restructuring of the country, saying it would result in rapid development of the nation.

Orji Kalu – Obasanjo can’t stop Buhari from winning 2019 election

A former Governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu, has expressed confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari will win the 2019 presidential election if he re-contests despite the series of attacks from former President Olusegun Obasanjo and others.
Kalu said this in an interview with journalists in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Friday, after his peace and advocacy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
The former governor said Obasanjo, who spent eight years in office, was the least person competent to attack Buhari’s integrity, adding that the former President did not allow anybody to criticise him while in office.

He said, “Talking of integrity, Obasanjo is incompetent to criticise President Buhari. When I was the governor of Abia State, I wrote letters to President Obasanjo, criticising him and because of that, he swore to make life difficult for me. He is today writing letters every week, attacking Buhari.
“I know Buhari very well. He is not corrupt. He does not own property anywhere. Some people should not just put the country in crisis. Whatever they may have in plan, Buhari will return in 2019.”
The former governor said that Buhari had demonstrated that he loved the country more than Obasanjo and added that there was no way Nigerians would dump the President based on the series of letters written by Obasanjo to discredit him (Buhari).
Kalu also said that the Igbo could realize the ambition of producing Buhari’s successor in 2023, stating, “We can’t do it alone. Late Chief MKO Abiola came to my mother’s house in Abia many years ago seeking political support.
“While discussing with my mother, MKO said no one could clap with one hand. I will also adopt that adage. We Igbo can’t do it alone. The rest of the country should assist us to realize this ambition.”
Earlier, the Ooni of Ife thanked Kalu for promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
Meanwhile, Obasanjo has called on the newly elected President of Sierra Leone, Julius Bio, to sustain the country’s relationship with Nigeria, which was strengthened during the reign of the immediate past President, Ernest Bai Koroma.
This call was contained in a congratulatory letter he sent to Bio on Thursday, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent by Obasanjo’s media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, on Friday in Abeokuta.
Bio won the presidential run-off on Wednesday and clinched the exalted position.
While he congratulated him, Obasanjo noted that the people of Sierra Leone had spoken.
The letter read in part, “No doubt, the good people of Sierra Leone have spoken and have decided to repose their trust and confidence in your leadership.
“By this clear victory, Sierra Leoneans have not only given you the mandate to lead with the sound policies that will bring much socioeconomic progress to the country but also reassure you of their faith in your leadership, given your experience and background in government.
“As Your Excellency is aware, Nigeria and Sierra Leone have enjoyed excellent relations, which have been further strengthened under the leadership of your predecessor, President Ernest Bai Koroma.
“I hope that the profound traditional bond of friendship subsisting between Nigeria and Sierra Leone will grow from strength to strength during your administration and under your leadership.”

Pastor T.B Joshua delivers Two Lesbians in his Church (Video)

A video has emerged on the internet on two lesbians that were delivered by the General Superintendent of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B Joshua.
The two young women that are having a romantic relationship attended the Church together. After a word and prayer from TB Joshua, the lustful affection they once had for another was destroyed.
While he was addressing the lesbian partners and the congregation during the deliverance session that was held in his church, the pastor has encouraged the members of the church not to discriminate the lesbians, but rather they should hate the sin.

In his statement:
“God hates sin, not sinners. When I say, ‘Do not judge so that you will not be judged’, I mean we should hate sin, not the sinner because sinners can change. If you have killed a sinner by judging him, there will be no opportunity for change.
“Sinners can be delivered. We should hate the act, not the people because our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the ‘spirit beings’ that cause all these acts. “The Bible is my standard. If my parents were one, I would not have been given birth to.
Those that are asking this question – if your parents were one, you would not have been given birth to. You that are reading me – if your parents were one, you would not be reading this today.” – T.B. Joshua

If you can recall in 2014, the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) also witnessed two lesbians that confessed – Nneoma Onyema and Maria Terese George – who said ‘demons’ were behind their lifestyle.
Sharing how they got initiated, the first lady, Maria explained to the church that her poverty-stricken background forced her to seek help from a lady that is older than her. However, she had ulterior motives in promising to help the attractive 19 years old.
She, however, disclosed that while she was being prayed for, there was a total transformation in her way of life.
