The debate about who's better between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will go on well after the two have retired.
There's no denying that the two have had extraordinary careers.
Both have scored goals at will and won nearly every trophy there is to win at club level.
But, choosing between them will remain the biggest debate in world football for many years to come.
Ashley Cole waded into the debate earlier this week, saying Messi was the tougher opponent.
“People talk about Ronaldo more because I played against him more," he said on Monday Night Football.
“But I think to mark Messi, on his day... he was just too good for me. But, again, he’s never scored [against me].”
And now another former Chelsea player has given his thoughts on the debate.
John Terry played against both during his time as a professional footballer.
In a question and answer on his Instagram, Terry was asked who he thinks is the better player.
And, Terry played it neutral, saying Messi is has more natural talent but advised youngsters to work as hard as Ronaldo.
"I always say Messi for pure natural talent!" he wrote. "But any young footballer out there follow and work as hard as Ronaldo does will have a chance. Two phenomenons."
That's a fair answer from Terry.
Terry also answered a host of other questions related to his football career.
The former England captain wore the number 26 for Chelsea throughout his playing career, and he answered why in his Q&A.
"When I broke into the first team at Chelsea, that was my number and I had some fans with my name and number on their shirts," he wrote. "I didn't want them playing for another shirt."
Terry also said Marcel Desailly was the best centre-back he played with during his career.
"He was so good to me as a 17-year-old coming through at Chelsea," he wrote.
The 38-year-old also said Jose Mourinho was his favourite manager, and that Chelsea's loss to Man United in the 2008 Champions League final was the worst moment of his career.
