British-Nigerian boxer champion Anthony Joshua is N1billion richer,
between £18million and £20million, after he won the bout between him and
New Zealander Joseph Parker in the unification fight in Cardiff on
Saturday.
This new paycheck will take Joshua’s gross total earnings from three fights to £50 million.
Last night, Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker put their undefeated records on the line in a world heavyweight unification bout in Cardiff.
Joshua defended his WBA and IBF belts while Parker put his WBO title on the line in front of what was a capacity crowd at the Principality Stadium. Some 78,000 fans were at the Principality Stadium for Joshua’s third consecutive stadium fight in a row.
Joseph Parker and Joshua headed into the contest as undefeated world champions.
It has been disclosed that Joshua is expected to earn close to £20m from his last night bout.

Joseph Parker, on the other hand, is very sure of £13m from the bout – significantly more than Joshua’s previous opponent, Carlos Takam, who went home with an estimated £1 million from his defeat to Anthony Joshua last October.
Their earnings form a proportion of the revenue from pay-per-view TV sales and sponsorship deals with the bout being shown live on Sky Sports Box Office. The size of Anthony Joshua’s paycheck was also determined by two factors, him being the home fighter and his name is the headline name on the card.
With Anthony Joshua’s victory, he is also expected to even take home more money if he faces the undefeated WBC heavyweight champion America’s Deontay Wilder who recently produced a tenth-round stoppage to beat Joe Ortiz to set up a clash with either Parker or Joshua.
The mouth-watering fight is being scheduled for maybe October, November or December 2018, according to Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn.
