2019!!! Shameless Igbos ‘Go On Their Knees’, To Beg Buhari, APC, For Juicy Appointments

A Socio-Cultural Pressure group, Igbo Patriotic Forum, IPF, has urged the Leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to zone the position of Senate President, to the South-East region.

The group argued that since the President is from the Northern region, and his Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, comes from the South-West, it will be fair if the party zones the Senate Leadership to the South-East region.

In a statement, the IPF also called on Igbo sons and daughters, to support the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government, stressing that, the future of Nigeria is bright under the current administration.

The statement reads: “With the results of the February 23, 2019 Presidential and National Assembly elections, it is glaring that President Buhari is popular and well accepted by the people, regardless of party affiliation.

“The votes polled by the President in the 2019 election in the South-East, is more than what he scored in 2015. This implies that we voted for you.

“The President has executed numerous projects in the South-East, than previous administrations.

“We appeal to the top echelon of the APC, to consider the South-East for the position of Senate President.

“The President is from the North, and the Vice President is from the West. In the spirit of patriotism, Ndigbo should be considered for Senate President.

“Collectively, all ethnic groups must work together, for the sake of national development.”

The Forum, while admonishing former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, to accept defeat in good faith, stressed that politics is not a do-or-die affair.

It added that the collective interest of Nigerians should be paramount.

The South-East plea for political relevance comes as Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, accused Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, of plotting to destroy the ruling party.

Okorocha, who recently got elected to the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, was reacting to his suspension by the national working committee (NWC) of the party.

The NWC had suspended Okorocha and Ibikunle Amosun, governor of Ogun state, over allegations of “anti-party activities”. The duo fell out with the leadership of the APC after failing to secure the gubernatorial tickets of the ruling party for their preferred candidates. (PostNG)
