Here are the Top Mistakes you made that resulted in your US Visa Denial

Here are the Top Mistakes you made that resulted in your US Visa Denial

Year in year out, a good number of people apply to the US embassy for visa to legally gain entry into the country. But unfortunately, majority of these people are rejected, leaving them sad and confused.

While everyone can’t be granted a US visa for obvious reasons, a lot of these rejections are due to little mistakes made by applicants in the application process. Here are top mistakes for US visa denial.
Inadequate preparation
Most US visa applicants are so excited about the idea of travelling to the US that they neglect putting in the work to actually get the visa. It’s okay for you to be over the moon, but how much do you know about the visa application and interview?
Outsourcing the Visa application to a third party isn’t an excuse to not get acquainted with the process. Thankfully, you have every information you need at your finger tip with the internet. Read up as much as you can.
Applying for the wrong Visa
Applying for the wrong visa is the beginning of your rejection. Eligibility requirements for the various available visas differ. By-passing one that you are eligible for and applying for one you aren’t eligible for, will be futile.
Carefully read about the various visas and their eligibility requirements. Be very sure that you meet the requirements of the one you are applying for. Doing this will automatically increase your chances of approval.
Incorrect or insufficient information
Every item on the forms to be filled is there because it’s important to the application process. Leaving out some questions and answering only the ones that are convenient for you isn’t going to do you any good. More so, providing false information is just as bad.
All information provided will be verified, and if as little as one of them is found to be false, your application will be thrown into the trash.
Over confidence
Confidence is no doubt a good thing. But when it’s over the top, it could affect you negatively. The visa interviewer is a human being just like you. Giving vibes of arrogance will rub him or her the wrong way, and that’ll affect their verdict of your application.
Just keep it simple and respectful. Answer only questions you are asked. Don’t assume that the interviewer forgot to ask certain questions and volunteer to provide unnecessary answers.
Ineffective communication
A lot of things could go wrong in the interview process if you don’t understand certain questions you are asked and then proceed to give wrong answers.
The accent of the interview can be a little distracting too. Pay close attention to him or her. If you didn’t hear a question clearly, politely ask them to repeat it. Pause for a second or two to articulate your thoughts before responding.
The United States of America is a land of opportunities, it’s no surprise that everyone wants to go have a share of those opportunities. There’s nothing wrong with wanting a better life. Just be prepared enough to nail it.
