An unknown man has been detained by the Lagos state police command
after he beat his spouse to death and dropped her body inside Lagos
Lagoon.
According to reports, the late woman and her husband were always having issues. Eleven days ago, they had issues which led to the wife being arrested. She was arrested at a nearby police station in Oworonshoki and was released the next day.
On arriving home, they had another fight and the husband beat her to the point she passed out. Noticing she was lifeless, he shaved all her hairs and dumped her body in the waters.
Neighbours who were bothered by his wife’s absence and they were forced to ask him about her whereabouts in which he quickly denied that he doesn’t know where she is.
However, her lifeless body was later discovered under the structure, by a neighbor who alerted the people in the neighborhood. The husband was immediately apprehended and handed over to the police.
