Kannywood's Shanawa features J. Martins in 'Baban Chakwai'
The famous Kannywood musician, songs-writer and producer, Ahmad Shanawa has featured the prominent musician, Martins Okechukwu Joshua Kalu Okwun, popularly known by his stage name J. Martins in the song titled ‘Baban Chakwai’ Remix.
Shanawa, a Jos-born singer in a exclusive interview with Daily Trust said the his collabo with J. Martins is a dream come true.
Shanawa, the Chief Executive Officer of Plan B Record also expressed his excitement over the collaboration with the J. Martins.
He said, “I am happy as J. Martins who is a musician, singer, songwriter and producer agreed to work with me in my song titled ‘Baban Chakwai’ remix. I am excited as he honored my request.”
The 4 minutes and 5 seconds’ song played exclusively to Daily Trust’s reporter was sang in both Hausa, Pidgin and English language.
He said, “J. Martins is prominent musician that every musician would love to work with, and I enjoyed working with him.”
Shanawa who sang songs like ‘Qamas’, ‘Gaskiya’ and ‘Bawan Mata’ also disclosed that they finished recording the audio of the song, “and now we are planning to shoot the video next week or upper week.”
J. Martins is one of the A-list musicians in Africa, he is best known for his song ‘Oyoyo’, ‘Jupa’ and ‘Good Or Bad’. He is also known to have featured on the song by P-Square, “E No Easy.
