President Muhammadu Buhari arrived Osogbo mid-Tuesday to join the All Progressives Congress rally backing Gboyega Oyetola as the party’s governorship candidate.
The elections of a governor for Osun is slated for Saturday.
Buhari’s social media aides sent out tweets of his arrival on social media.
A photo on the aide @bashirahmad handle shows Buhari walking beside Gov Rauf Aregbesola of Osun, while security clears a path through for both men.
Security is tight after the state government alleged in the lead up to the visit of plots by unnamed person to harass the president during his time in Osun.
