A Man Who Bath His UNIMAID Girlfriend With Acid Has Been Arrested Finally (Photos)

Musa Faisal, who was affiliated to the acid attack on his 26-year old girlfriend, Fatima Usman, has been detained by the police officers in Borno state command.
The arrest of the suspect who poured acid on his girlfriend that he has dated for more than four years was announced by Mr. Damian Chukwu Commissioner of Police (CP) in Borno state during a press briefing in Maiduguri on Thursday.
Fatima Usman, who is a final year student of Department of Nursing, University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) was attacked with a corrosive fluid by suspected Keke drivers in Maiduguri on March 16 and has sustained severe injuries on her face and other parts of her body due to the attack.

Muhammad Babangida, who conspired with his friend Faisal to attack his girlfriend because her parents rejected his marriage proposal, was also detained by the Police Officers. The commissioner said preliminary investigation indicated that the suspects conspired and assaulted the girl, contrary to the notion that she was attacked by tricycle operators.
He added that “our findings indicated that the girl and the suspect had been meeting in secret for a long period of time.“On the day of the attack, she arranged to meet the suspect at a hotel in Galadima area of Maiduguri and while they were inside a room, his accomplice, Muhammad Babangida joined them. “Babangida was the one who poured acid on Usman and in the process, some of the liquid spilled over to Faisal.
“It is also established that the suspect vowed to deal with the girl since her family resented their union.”
The police said that the suspects who were arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Kano and have already agreed to commit the offence, will be soon be charged to court over the offence which has left their victim disfigured.
