The Libya Returnees Have Been Placed on Salaries by The Oba of Benin

The Libya returnees have been placed on a consecutive three months salaries by the Oba of Benin, known as Oba Ewuare II, who expressed his disappointment over the Nigerian Youth mentality, with the aim of making money very fast without legitimate means.
NAN reported that apart from the salaries, the Oba said the Oba Ewuare Foundation would provide the adequate tools/facilities for those who had enrolled in the various skills acquisition programmes.
Oba Ewuare made this known when he hosted the Libyan returnees in his palace and it was further confirmed in a statement that was signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Desmond Agbama and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday.

The Oba of Benin who gave his advice to the youths to partake in agriculture and other legal businesses to be successful and frowned at some parents’ attitude who encouraged illegal migration via sea and desert, stressing that the palace would employ all traditional means to eradicate the scourge.
The Oba of Benin was also full of praises for the bold steps that have been taken so far to fight against human trafficking and the wave of crime in the state that has called for concerted efforts of all to win the fight against the inhuman acts.
Earlier, the leader of the Libya returnees, Mr. Vincent David, told Omo N’Oba that they came to the palace in order to be assisted with tools to enable them to start up lives after acquiring the necessary skills that were provided by the government to them.
The returnees further poured praises on Oba Ewuare for using traditional means, to rescue trafficked victims from their slave masters. Recall that before now, the Benin monarch, Oba Ewuare II, on forced native doctors in Edo state to revoke the curses and oaths placed on the trafficked victims of human trafficking in the state.
After the revocation of curses, the Benin Monarch declared that the trafficked victims were now free from their traffickers and whatever oaths they were placed on. Oba Ewuare II also placed a curse on human traffickers and those aiding and abetting human trafficking in the state.
