A man by name Kizza, has left his fiancee in a bitter state after he drowned at the Aruu Waterfalls, Gulu district in Uganda.
Kizza, an employee of a Non-Governmental Organization that is based in Kamwokya, Kampala had traveled to Gulu on a work-related trip. While there, he and other colleagues all decided to go and have fun at the waterfalls.
Some Moments before he drowned inside the waterfall, he first took pictures, then he sat down and put his feet in the water as his friends took pictures of him. Unknown to them, this was the last moment they will set their eyes on him.
Slowly, Kizza slipped down the water falls and by the time they could realize he was actually slipping from life, it was too late for them to rescue him.
They sounded an alarm, but there was no one in vicinity to respond to their calls.
Police came in later and managed to retrieve the body. It was transferred to Lacor Hospital in GuluKizza was in charge of research and human resources in the NGO, Innovation for Poverty Action, Uganda, which normally handles private and government contracts.
Fredrick Mugabi, one of his friends says Kizza’s wedding was scheduled for August and wedding meetings were already going on. He says the bride hails from Sheema district.
